At Ausangate Adventure, we provide you with high-quality trekking gear to withstand the extreme conditions of the Andes and ensure your safety, comfort, and rest. We have North Face or Hard Wear high-mountain tents that are cold- and wind-resistant, as well as comfortable thermal sleeping pads. We also provide dining tents and fully equipped kitchens, chairs, tables, and utensils for each expedition. Our logistics team provides pack mules or horses so you can hike without carrying any weight. Everything is checked before each expedition so you can enjoy a safe and comfortable experience in the high mountains.

During your adventure, you’ll have large, durable tents from brands like The North Face or Mountain Hardwear, designed to withstand the ever-changing weather in the Andes. Each tent can accommodate one or two people, offering comfort, security, and protection from wind, rain, or low temperatures.

After a day of hiking among mountains, lagoons, and glaciers, a warm place awaits you to rest and recharge your energy. Our camping gear is equipped to make every night under the stars of Ausangate safe and comfortable.

Dining and Kitchen Tents

At Ausangate Adventure, we take care of every detail to make your mountain experience comfortable and authentic. During the trek, we set up wind-sheltered dining tents at the campsites, complete with tables, chairs, and all the necessary tableware, so you can enjoy your meals with views of the Andean landscapes. Our goal is for every moment, from breakfast to dinner, to be a space for rest, camaraderie, and recharging your energy.

We also have a separate kitchen tent, equipped for our mountain chef and his assistant to prepare nutritious and delicious meals with fresh ingredients. Each dish is prepared with the altitude and the day’s exertion in mind. This separate setup ensures hygiene, efficiency, and a culinary experience even in the most remote locations. You’ll have a warm, comforting meal at the end of the day, sharing stories with your companions surrounded by the magical spirit of Ausangate.

Hygienic tents with private bathrooms

At Ausangate Adventure, we know that comfort and hygiene are essential, even in the most remote corners of the Andes. That’s why on our treks we set up hygienic tents with private bathrooms to give you privacy, cleanliness, and safety at all times. Support staff maintains the optimal condition of each eco-friendly portable toilet.

These individual tents are located near the campsites, making them accessible without disturbing the natural environment. We are committed to responsible practices toward Mother Earth, without causing any environmental impact. Sleeping bags

On high-altitude treks, such as the Ausangate Trek, sleeping bags are indispensable for ensuring a comfortable night’s rest in the cold Andean nights. At over 4,000 meters above sea level, temperatures can drop below 0°C, so having a mountain sleeping bag will be essential to maintain body heat and allow for recovery after each day of hiking.

At Ausangate Adventure, we provide you with high-quality sleeping bags capable of withstanding temperatures down to -15°C, perfect for the extreme conditions of Ausangate. They are comfortable and compatible with trekking mountain tents.

Sleeping pad and mat

To ensure a restful night’s sleep on cold Andean nights, we’ve included a high-density thermal sleeping pad and a foam ground mat for the mountains. These components form an insulating and comfortable layer between your body and the ground, helping you stay warm and sleep better after a day of hiking.

All gear is inspected and cleaned before each trip to ensure it’s comfortable and you won’t get cold. At Ausangate Adventure, we know that a good night’s rest is essential for enjoying each day, so we make sure you get the rest you need and wake up refreshed, ready to continue the adventure.

Our trekking poles

At Ausangate Adventure, we know that every step is important on your journey through the Andes. That’s why we offer top-quality trekking poles to enhance your stability, balance, and support on any terrain. Whether you’re climbing mountains or descending steep slopes, trekking poles help reduce impact on your knees and improve your walking pace.

With them, you can adjust them to the height you need and to any terrain, keeping you comfortable and safe every step of the way. Duffel Bag

At Ausangate Adventure, we provide you with a durable, oversized duffel bag to carry your personal belongings on the trek. Made from waterproof, high-strength material, this bag is adapted to the Andean climate and protects your gear from rain, dust, and pack animals.

Our muleteers carry the duffel bag on horseback, ensuring your belongings arrive safely at each campsite. You’ll only need a daypack with the essentials: water, a camera, snacks, and light clothing.

Backpack cover

At Ausangate Adventure, we take care of every detail to ensure your comfort and protection during the trek. We provide a waterproof backpack cover designed to keep your gear dry and protected from rain, dust, or snow in the Andean mountains.

These covers are lightweight, durable, and feature an elastic fit, making them ideal for adapting to different backpack sizes. High-quality waterproof material ensures your personal gear stays safe even in extreme weather conditions.

Our muleteers and horses

At Ausangate Adventure, we work with local muleteers from the native Ausangate community, guardians of the Andean trails. Each of them knows the routes, the weather, and the local geography like the back of their hand and works with responsibility, respect, and love for their land.

Our muleteers are the heart and soul of every expedition: they carry your luggage on trained horses that can carry up to 40 kg. Thanks to their experience and dedication, they ensure that each campsite is set up and that you can enjoy your trek without any worries.

In addition to their logistical work, the muleteers share stories, customs, and a connection to the mountains, transforming it into a truly cultural and memorable experience.
