In the event that a natural disaster, force majeure, or situation beyond our control (such as blockades, strikes, extreme weather conditions, health emergencies, among others) prevents the provision of the contracted service, the company will evaluate each situation individually and seek to offer the best possible solution to the client.
Depending on the case, the following may be offered:

  • Alternative tour options or equivalent services.
  • Rescheduling the service to a new date without penalty, if possible.
  • In exceptional cases, if rescheduling or changing the tour is not feasible, a partial or full refund may be issued, depending on the operational costs already incurred.

Refunds are only processed to the original credit card or account used to make the reservation.

The tour programs and services offered by Ausangate Adventure do not include any form of medical or accident insurance should it be required; we recommend that our passengers purchase international travel insurance in their home country.

In the event of illness or injury on one of our tours, we are trained to provide emergency first aid and arrange transportation to an appropriate medical facility. However, we are not responsible for the cost of transportation services or medical care.

ABOUT THE PASSPORT AT MACHU PICCHU.

  • Once the tour booking is confirmed, we will immediately send the information to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu’s reservation office so that permits can be issued and the tour guaranteed.
  • You must bring your original passport for all services. Photocopies will not be accepted.
  • The information we will send to the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel reservation office includes full name, passport number, nationality, gender, and age. This information cannot be modified.
  • To renew your passport, we recommend bringing the old one or, failing that, taking a photo of it.
  • If the passport number does not match the one previously provided to us, the trip cannot begin.
  • The client must inform the company that they have a new passport; if the client fails to report the existence of a new passport upon arrival in Cusco, Ausangate Adventure will not be responsible.

DURING THE TOURS.

Return train tickets from Machu Picchu are subject to availability. After the tour, your return arrival time at your hotel depends on train availability. Ausangate Adventure reserves the right to book the most convenient trains for the group. If you need to take specific trains before or after, please notify us by email in advance; additional charges may apply for last-minute changes.

During the tour, you must strictly follow the instructions of the tour guides. All the Inca sites and places we visit have restrictions that must be followed. If you have any issues with the tours, please inform your guide or the office staff so they can resolve any problems.

If you are unable to continue your tour due to illness or injury, we will help you return to the nearest medical center or hotel. You are responsible for covering transportation and medical expenses. However, we will provide you with a certificate to help you with your insurance company. Travel insurance is not mandatory, but we recommend purchasing it for your trip.

Ausangate Adventure reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule the tour in the event of adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, or injuries during the trip. In this case, the standard terms and conditions will apply.
